How do I register?

Registration is easy and straightforward. To register with Talk on the Tube simply complete the registration questions answering Step 1 through Step 5.

How do I log-in?

Once you have registered you can log-in on the website using your username and password. If you have forgotten your password please choose "Forgotten Password" and follow the instructions.

How do I edit my profile?

You can edit your profile at anytime! Once you have successfully logged in, use the ‘edit profile ’tab then the tabs called "About Me", "Login Details", "Interests", "Personal" and "Top 5". Please remember to select "Save My Details" once you have updated any profile information.

PROFILE PICS – PLEASE NOTE.

We recommend that you upload a profile pic (although it is not mandatory) as this will let other totties recognise you if they see you on the tube and it will also mean that you will appear towards the front of the People section of the site.  If you chose to upload a PROFILE PIC it MUST CONTAIN A FACIAL PICTURE. PROFILE PICS THAT DO NOT CONTAIN A FACIAL PICTURE WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE SITE.

Tott tip! – Make sure you regularly update the ‘Me today’ section of your profile. That way people can use the keyword search to search for you by the clothes you were wearing or the book you were reading!

How can I add more Videos and Images to my profile?

There are lots of ways to add more videos and images to your profile. On the web, log-in to Talk on the Tube and choose either the Videos or the Photos tab and follow the instructions. Be sure to give each a title and a description!

You can also email us your content. Place the Title for your photo or video submission in the Subject field and the description of you photo or video in the message body then attach any movies as attachments and send tosupport@tott.net. Please ensure that you send the email from the email address you have registered in your profile, otherwise we won't know who sent us it!

What file formats can I upload?

We accept 3GP, avi, mov, mpeg and mgp formatted video and gif, jpeg, jpg, png and bmp images.

Why was my content not posted?

If you have uploaded content that does not comply with our terms and conditions it will not be posted. This includes but is not limited to: Obscene content, content which is racially inflammatory, or content which is publicly available or otherwise in copyright. Please note that Talk on the Tube is not a moderated website but all content is subject to scrutiny by our content team.

Is there a size limit on pictures and videos?

If you are uploading video from your phone, if the phone can record the video then it should be available for upload. If you are uploading videos from the web, the size limit is 20MB.

The size restriction for pictures is 4 MB.

What is tott mail?

Tott mail is an area in your profile where you can send and receive private messages. If you do not wish to receive tott mail from a specific user you can simply Block them by selecting the Block tab when reading their message.

I've uploaded a video but now I want to delete it. How do I do this?

Easy. Login into the site and go to either the video or the photo tab. Next to each image there is a red button with a cross. Clicking on this button will disable your photo or video. To enable the photo or video simply select the green button with a triangle. Disabled photos and videos will still remain in your profile however users will not be able to see this video when viewing your profile. If you want to permanently delete the content just click on the dustbin icon.

How do I use the Second Chance Message Boards?

Easy! There is one board for each of the underground lines and the DLR. If you see someone you want to make contact with during your journey then try to make sure they notice you!. You can then post a message on the appropriate line using the pull-down menus on the board to show the date, time and stations where the encounter occurred. Then simply add a free text message of up to 256 characters to impress the man/women of your dreams! A brief description of the person and yourself will always help to achieve the desired result.. as will humour!

SEARCHING THE MESSAGE BOARDS

The message boards can be searched by date, time, keyword and station to help narrow your search. If you chose to search by station the board will return all posts for stations between the 2 that you enter that are in that direction of travel. For example, if you search the Bakerloo Board between Charing Cross and Elephant & Castle, posts between Embankment and Lambeth North would show up but between Embankment and Piccadilly Circus would not (as it is in the wrong direction of travel). So if you suspect someone may have left a message for you get searching! You can also make yourself more ‘searchable’ by completing the ‘me today’ section of your profile every day

How do I use the blogs/forums?

Like the Second Chance Message Boards the forums are also organised by lines. The great thing is though that you choose the subject! So choose a subject and get blogging! Also when you post to a forum a message will be sent to all your friends and fans so that they can carry on the thread.

The first thread in each forum is always a to-let board where you can advertise rooms/properties to-let that correspond with the line you are in. So for example if you have a flat in Clapham Common that you want to let you could do this on the Northern Line to-let thread. Another great feature here is that you can also upload photos and video of your flat, making it far more attractive to rent! There is a small charge of £5 per month for this service.

How do I use tott Chat?

Tott Chat is a fun and safe chat client where you can create your own personal chat room. Fun because you can upload your own wallpaper and start the chat rooms you want to create and safe because once you create a chat room you become the moderator of the room and have the ability to block anyone you don't want in there with you!

What is tott Taste?

Tott Taste is a great restaurant finding service powered by TopTable.co.uk. If you want to know about some great places to eat in London, and book a reservation on line, choose a line and station near where you are planning to eat and tott taste will give you a feast of options!

Does it cost money to access the site from my mobile phone?

If you are registered and are a subscriber, there is no additional access charges for using Talk on the Tube via wap on your mobile phone. Your standard Network Operator charges will apply for the mobile data that you transfer.

How do I report a problem?

If you are experiencing problems with the service or would like to report a bug please email the Talk on the Tube support team at support@tott.net and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
If you want to report abuse of the forums or Second Chance Message Boards, use the Report Abuse button next to each post.

How do I post a comment?

You can leave comments on any of the Talk on the Tube content..just click the "Comment This..." button and type your comments into the comments panel. Please note you must be logged in to leave comments.

I can't see my posting?

Talk on the Tube is continuously monitored. If your content breaches Our Terms and Conditions it may be removed without notice.

Posting guidelines

Talk on the Tube is a service for adults, but no pornographic, racist, homophobic or inflammatory content will be accepted onto Talk on the Tube servers, this includes any sexual activity.
Please note that all content is posted and offered by the user, not by Tott, and the parties participating in any transaction are solely responsible for all aspects of such transaction and for resolving any disputes that arise in connection therewith, including but not limited to payment processing, fulfilment and customer support.

• All postings must be accurate and not misleading, and you may not use tott in a fraudulent manner or to engage in any fraudulent activity or purpose or to impersonate any person or entity.

All content must be 'self generated' (recorded either by yourself or friends, and you must have all rights to content not recorded by yourself).
